While we can assure you that you WILL save money while using Costectomy, the amount varies depending on the services provided.

Costectomy is not an insurance company. Costectomy is an online healthcare marketplace where you can compare local prices and purchase your desired medical service. Neither Costectomy nor your healthcare provider will file a claim to your insurance company.

Unfortunately, services offered on Costectomy are cash prices only. These prices are not valid if you plan on using your insurance. However, we CAN provide you with the CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) codes used by your medical provider. After your visit, you can submit both the Costectomy price and CPT codes to your insurance provider to possibly apply towards your deductible or out-of-pocket expenses.

Start by typing in your email and zip code on our homepage. Select the service and sub service you need - if you do not know what service to click on, go to our services page. The page will automatically reload, showing facilities near you that offer your needed service. Prices are also listed on the side. You can sort by distance, price, or rating. Click on the button on the left to select a facility and price. The website will then show you a quick summary of your service, facility, and price. This is also where you would choose your preferred date range and any available add-ons. Click on the “Next” button on the bottom right to checkout and finish your transaction.

On our homepage, choose the type of service you need, such as a routine doctor’s visit, surgical procedures, labs and tests, or imaging services. We also offer ancillary services such as dental, podiatry, chiropractic, and cryotherapy visits. After making that selection, choose a sub-service. For example, a lab sub-service is an allergy test while an imaging sub-service is an X-Ray. For more information about the types of procedures and services offered, check out our services page.

Once you purchase a service with a selected date, we will honor the price at the time of service. In other words, your chosen price and service will remain valid for your appointment - even if your appointment is confirmed for a much later date.

After you fill out your personal and payment details on our checkout page, click on the “Make My Appointment” button on the bottom. This immediately sends an automated email to your chosen health care facility with your information. Your facility will then make an appointment for you. You will then receive a confirmation email with the appointment time and date.

Your chosen healthcare facility will select a physician for you.

Set in your preferred date range during checkout. Your chosen facility will confirm both date and time with you based on available slots. An email confirmation will be sent to you. You can reschedule time and date with your facility if needed.

We suggest bringing a copy of your Costectomy confirmation email to your appointment. Specific instructions may be given by your healthcare facility.

You can reschedule your appointment through your Costectomy account. If you need to cancel your appointment, please contact your chosen facility or physician's office AND email info@costectomy.com.

Overall, diagnostic studies necessary before surgeries (like MRIs, CAT scans, consultations etc) as well as rehabilitation appointments are not included in the price of surgical procedures. Hardware may also not be included. The prices for these services will be provided before the surgery but after surgical consultation. Special equipment, hardware, or implants will be provided to you at invoice cost without any markups. Copies of the invoices will be provided to you to ensure our commitment to price transparency. Overnight stays lodging and travel expenses are not included in the price of the procedures. Expenses or fees resulting from complications subsequent to the completion of the surgery and discharge from the facility are also not included. After you select your service at the preferred price, you will be taken to the checkout page. You can then pay electronically using one of our secure payment methods. You may also pay on-site using cash, credit, debit, or check - just click on the “Pay On Site” button. Please be aware that some facilities may not accept cash or check payments.

While patients who are enrolled in Medicare or Medicaid can use Costectomy, we do not apply that towards fees and payment.

We try to ensure that our prices include all provider and facility related fees, so that you only pay once.

Yes! Online payments are processed by PayPal and Stripe. Both are secure and known payment processing companies.

Your online payment will be processed at checkout. However, if either you or your chosen healthcare facility cancels your appointment, you get a 100% refund.

We accept all major debit and credit cards. We also accept on-site cash or check payments. Please make sure to check with your facility if they accept check payments beforehand. Some facilities may not accept check/cash payments.

Yes, we do accept FSA and HSA cards as a form of payment. We also accept FSA and HSA checks (as "Pay On-Site" payments) but please confirm with your selected facility beforehand, as some providers may not accept checks.
